Purpose
The purpose of Cover Your Tracks Version 3.6 is to clear the
location pulldown bar, cookies, history, cache, news groups,
and recent documents in Netscape versions 3.0 through 6.0(so
far), as well as Microsoft Internet Explorer 3.x (Clearing or
manipulating the pulldown bar will work with IE4).
Instructions
Using Cover Your Tracks is simple. Upon running the program
for the first time, you will be asked to specify whether you
wish to clear Netscape 3.x, Netscape 4.x, 6.x or IE 3.
20;. Once
the version is chosen, clearing the location pulldown, cookies,
history, cache, newsgroups, and recent documents is a button
click away! Please note that in order for Cover Your Tracks to
work as intended, it is necessary to close Netscape or IE
before running Cover Your Tracks. A message will remind you of
this if Netscape is open. Leaving Netscape open will result in
no changes taking place in the location pulldown bar (although
the cookies, history, cache, and recent documents functions
will still work).
